To celebrate my 48th birthday on 14th of January, I wanted to create 3 interconnected releases based around edits from a number of jams I recorded just before Christmas 2021. Each of these pieces was recorded live in one take at home, late at night, during a classic Boorloo Birak heatwave.

The main inspiration was getting my SH-101 back into my set up after some time without it. I used MIDI to sync the clocks and CV/Gate to connect the TD-3 and 101. No software or overdubs.

Equipment used: Roland TR-8 drum machine; Roland SH-101; Behringer TD-3; Roland System-1; Electro-Harmonix Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai Delay Pedal; Allen & Heath ZED10 mixer; Zoom H2 recorder.

All tracks edited from the original 63 minute "Diagonal" recording.
